Cincinnati challenges Kentucky as Villanova exits

The Kentucky Wildcats did beat Cincinnati by 13 points, but nothing came easy for these first-ranked Wildcats.  Kentucky didn’t flinch when Cincinnati came within three points.  In fact, they built a double-digit lead by physically playing better than the Bearcats.  With that victory Kentucky became the first men’s college basketball team to go 36-0 and they are chasing the accomplishment of becoming the first team to go 40-0 since the Indiana Hoosiers in 1976.   Aaron Harrison scored 13 points,

Huge upsets occur as two 3 seeds go down

The UAB Blazers sent the Iowa State Cyclones home early with a huge upset in Louisville.  William Lee was the hero for the 14th seeded Blazers, scoring the last four points for UAB.  The Blazers, the youngest team in the tournament,  made it the third year in a row that the 14th seed beat the 3rd seed along with Georgia State beating Baylor for another big upset.  UAB celebrated in front of the fans that lost their football program in

Wisconsin beats Purdue as the Irish beat North Carolina

The Wisconsin Badgers weren’t going to let a sloppy first half , beat  them have a bad second half.  The Badgers trailed at halftime by 5 and Sam Dekker only scored 4 points in the first half.  Wisconsin dominated Purdue in the final 20 minutes, holding them to only 6 field goals and the Boilermakers to shoot 24 percent.  Bronson Koenig  scored his career high, 19 points as Sam Dekker and Nigel Hayes added 15 points a piece.  Even though

Keeping Ramirez healthy is the key for a good season.

The Milwaukee Brewers all-star third baseman Aramis Ramirez will have to have another great season for the Brew Crew to succeed in 2015.  Ramirez stated in January that this will likely be his final season in the MLB.  He had a terrific season last year, starting third-base at the all-star game.  He finished hitting 2.85 with 66 RBI’s and 15 homeruns.
