Badgers look to move on in Big Ten Tournament vs Indiana

The Wisconsin Badgers will take on the Indiana Hoosiers tonight at the Verizon Center in Washington D.C. in Wisconsin’s first game in the Big Ten Tournament.  Last night the Hoosiers dominated Iowa 95-73 to move on and play Wisconsin to possibly advance to the semifinals.  Indiana looked tough last night as four of their players scored in double digits.  James Blackmon led the way and went 4-5 from beyond the three-point line.

The Badgers come in ready to play after they finally beat Minnesota to stop their losing streak. This is Wisconsin’s last chance to prove that they should have a high ranking in the NCAA Tournament. The Badgers sure showed they can be ranked high in their 66-49 win over Minnesota. Bronson Koenig hit 5 three-pointers and Nigel Hayes and Zak Showalter each added 12.

Wisconsin needs to shoot like they did against Minnesota. This season’s story has been how the Badgers just can’t shoot this year.  Nigel Hayes can’t hit a three to save his life, Vitto Brown’s shot percentage has gone down by more than 10 percent, and Bronson Koenig, who has by far the best shot on the team, can occasionally be streaky.

Also Ethan Happ has to win the battle below against Thomas Bryant.  In both of Wisconsin’s meetings with Indiana this year Happ has thrived. he scored 19 points in Bloomington in their fist matchup and 20 in their rematch.
