Delavan Soccer streak ends:
As Delavan 1 didn’t show up to play Delavan 2, their undefeated season ended. With Esteban, Yunel, Emilio, and Leo’s electrifying offense and Kyle, Liam, and Alexis’ mean defense Delavan 1 was surely the best team in the league. It would have been a great game if Delavan 1 would have showed up with Jacob, Josue, and Angel’s great up field strikers.
Lakers rally to beat Clinton even with umpire miscordination.
Clinton was all over Lakers starter Connor Gove as they jumped out to an early 3-0 lead. However with Jacob Szczap and Marcus Turner’s big hits turned things around as the Laker bats started on fire. in the last inning there were runners on second and third with two outs with Delavan Township pitcher Peyton McCann on the mound. One of Clinton’s hitters hit a fly ball to center-field and Augustus Foster made a great catch. The outfield umpire was looking at the home plate umpire to make the call, but the home-plate umpire was depending on the outfield umpire to make the call and the outfield umpire called the runner safe. Meanwhile, the runners at second and third scored and the game was with in 1 run. Peyton caught the line drive that cam to him and the Lakers won.
Augustus Foster thought of some of this.
