Wisconsin smokes Northwestern to move on

WISCONSIN 76

NORTHWESTERN 48

Washington D.C. ~ It is hard to believe that in the Wisconsin Badgers last seven games before the Big Ten games they only won two. Now Wisconsin has won three straight games and are looking red hot.

Wisconsin beat the Northwestern Wildcats Saturday afternoon in Washington D.C. 76-49 to advance to the championship game.

The Badgers had the lead for 38 out of the 40 minutes in the game. Wisconsin started off hot and never looked back completing the most lopsided game in Big Ten Tournament history.  Wisconsin also held Northwestern to a season low 48 points and held leading scorer Bryant McIntosh to only 8 points. Zak Showalter locked down McIntosh to a season low 8 points and also a season low in assists. Ethan Happ was unstoppable on defense and Northwestern only had one player in double digits, Scottie Lindsey.

Bronson Koenig scored 10  points for Wisconsin and Vitto Brown scored 8.  Nigel Hates played outstandingly and led with 18 points while  Ethan Happ scored 16
