Wisconsin beats Purdue as the Irish beat North Carolina

The Wisconsin Badgers weren’t going to let a sloppy first half , beat  them have a bad second half.  The Badgers trailed at halftime by 5 and Sam Dekker only scored 4 points in the first half.  Wisconsin dominated Purdue in the final 20 minutes, holding them to only 6 field goals and the Boilermakers to shoot 24 percent.  Bronson Koenig  scored his career high, 19 points as Sam Dekker and Nigel Hayes added 15 points a piece.  Even though Kaminsky got off to a slow start, he finished with 12 points, 5 assists, and 3 blocks.

The Badgers play Michigan State on Sunday and with Virginia and Duke both losing, Wisconsin could very well    find themselves as a number 1 seed in the tournament.   “ You know, I’ve  never really talked about seeds ever.” Wisconsin coach Bo Ryan said.

Purdue’s A.J. Hammons scored all 10 of his points in the first half and A.J Thompson and Kendall Stephins  each scored 9 points. Purdue was leading 35-30 at the break, but the Badgers opened up half number2 on fire, going on a 14-3 run.

Wisconsin bested the Boilermakers 71-51 in a tight game most of the way.

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish pulled off yet another victory, this time over North Carolina. Jerian Grant scored 24 points to lead the Irish and Pat Connaughatten added 20 points.  For North Carolina, Marcus Paige scored 24 points and J.P Tokoto scored 20.

So I just heard that the selection committee had Wisconsin as a 1 seed on Sat night.

Long before the Sunday championship game.

    Do you agree?

      I don’t think Wisconsin should’ve been a 1 seed on Saturday night.
      What if State crushed them.
But since the badgers beat Michigan State, they deserve a 1 seed.
